As a healthcare leader in Ottawa for over 25 years I have been privileged to work alongside this tremendous organization and I am honoured and humbled to have been selected as its CEO. Our strength is in our compassionate and highly dedicated team of health care professionals and peers who welcome people into care, break down barriers, walk beside those who are struggling and instill the sense of self-worth and hope that is essential for health and wellness.

Our key to success is our innovative responses to an ever-changing risk environment that creates new barriers to being healthy for our community.

Our uniqueness is in the deep collaboration with our partners with whom we work alongside leveraging each other’s skills and experience. Despite our success, there is still so much to do.

The health of our community continues to be impacted by untreated trauma, poverty, lack of safe, affordable housing, criminalization, stigma and an increasingly toxic drug supply.

To truly address the needs of our community and to meet our mission we are committed advocating for change to broken systems and failed social policies that are creating barriers to equity for our community.
