Certaines personnes continuent de consommer, que ce soit temporairement ou \u00e0 long terme. Dans ces situations, la r\u00e9duction des m\u00e9faits permet de diminuer les risques li\u00e9s \u00e0 la consommation d\u2019alcool et de drogues, notamment les empoisonnements. Acc\u00e9der \u00e0 des services de r\u00e9duction des m\u00e9faits peut sauver des vies. Il est aussi important d\u2019\u00e9viter de consommer en isolement.
